The RMA 453 PV from STIHL is a battery-powered lawn mower with variable speed drive, designed for users looking to cut large lawns. This 4 Series battery-powered lawn mower is quiet and packs plenty of power making it the ideal choice for gardeners.
This lawn mower is built with a rugged polymer deck that is lightweight, rust proof and double layered for additional stability. Its UV resistant, has a 51 cm cutting width and single point height adjustment that is adjustable between 20 100 mm. The RMA 453 PV is part of the AP System range of tools and is powered by an AP 300 S battery that is interchangeable with other machines across the range. This lawn mower is fitted with sequential battery discharge, which means the lawn mower has an automatic switchover feature - so when one battery runs out of power, it will automatically switch over to the next one. On a full charge with the recommended AP 300 S battery you will be able to mow lawns up to 450 m2, which becomes 900 m2 when the lawn mower is used with two AP 300 S batteries.
The RMA 453 PV has 4 different ways of mowing. No additional tools are required but we do recommend you refer to the owners manual before working. You can either:
Cut & collect with the grass catcher box fitted
Cut & drop by removing the grass catcher box
Side discharge with the flap that is integrated into the deck
Mulch with the multi-blade and mulching attachment
The RMA 453 PV has a built-in electronic interface on the mono-handlebar which shows useful information such as the battery charge, the ability to switch between mowing modes and adjust the motor speed levels. The comfort mono-handlebar allows easy access to the grass catcher box, making it easier to remove and empty when its full plus, thanks to the fill level indicator on the grass catcher box youll know exactly when to empty the box too! The 55-litre grass catcher box is ergonomically designed and easy to fully open for fast emptying. The sturdy mono-handlebar is height adjustable and foldable for compact storage after use. The mono-handlebar also has a 10-year domestic warranty too.
