Stihl Warranty Policy
2 Year Warranty Period - STIHL DOMESTIC USERS
All machines in the current STIHL range are covered for a period of 2 years** from the date of purchase by the Owner, when used for the designed purpose of that product by Domestic Users.
**STIHL High
Pressure Cleaners are covered for an extended warranty period of 3 years in Domestic use.

Personal Protective Equipment receives a 1 year warranty for all user types.
MotoMix® fuel domestic warranty extension
Extension of Domestic warranty from 2 to 3 years when purchased with 5 litres of MotoMix.
Domestic customers can now extend warranty cover of selected machines, when purchased along with 5L of MotoMix. The extension must be registered at point of sale on B2B. For full details of all products included please click here.
1 Year Warranty Period - STIHL PROFESSIONAL USERS
All machines in the current STIHL range are covered for a period of 1 year** from
the date of purchase by the Owner, when used for the designed purpose of that product by Professional Users (Including Hire, Rental and Construction
Industry, Farm and Estate).
STIHL
AS System, AI Line and AK System cordless products are not covered under warranty when used by Professional Users (including Hire, Rental and Construction Industry, Farm and Estate).
**STIHL High
Pressure Cleaners are covered for an extended warranty period of 2 years in Professional use. NOTE: There will be no extension to the warranty period on products sold to the Hire, Rental and Construction Industry. The existing 1 year warranty period will remain for these products.

Ignition modules – There is a 2 year warranty on ignition modules.
**STIHL AP
System Tools, Batteries and Battery products are covered for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase by the Owner, when used for the designed
purpose of that product by Professional Users (including Hire, Rental and
Construction Industry, Farm and Estate).
Spare Parts
Spare parts are covered by a 1 year warranty, or the remainder of the original warranty (whichever is greater).
VIKING to STIHL Transition
From the 1st of January 2019 all VIKING Grounds care products were re-branded to become STIHL. Therefore for any warranty related enquires relating to the VIKING product range, please take reference from the section now labelled STIHL Grounds care Products.

Warranty and After Sales Support
Our products are built to the highest standards of quality and performance and our warranty policy is a statement of confidence.
Stiga Ltd. provides warranty on its Stiga products against defects in materials and workmanship. Our products have been manufactured to the highest quality standards and are guaranteed for domestic use against faulty parts or manufacture.
The warranty is not transferable and is not valid on second-hand goods.
The warranty covers all parts and labour undertaken on your machine covered by this policy. This is conditional upon the repairs being carried out by an approved Stiga service dealer.
On walk-behind machines and handheld products, delivery and collection of the machine is the owner’s responsibility and not covered by this policy.
The warranty period starts from the date of
purchase by the consumer. The warranty is not transferrable.
Warranty periods are those effective at the time of purchase and published in Stiga literature and on our websites.
Warranties are conditional on the product being used domestically and being serviced at the recommended intervals.
For products which commercially (i.e. for hire or by contractors, local councils, caravan sites, water authorities, or any similar use where the machine is employed for financial gain or is instrumental in being employed on properties being used for financial gain) the warranty period will be 90 days.
Batteries and chargers on all petrol products carry
a 12-month warranty.
Batteries and chargers for dedicated Lithium-Ion powered machinery will have a warranty length varying from 2 years, subject to extended warranty requirements. Please check this with your place of purchase.
Should a product be replaced under warranty, the
warranty period will remain effective from the original date of purchase.
Stiga 5 Year Extended Warranty - Effective 01st
October 2023
Any STIGA product (excluding spare parts &
accessories) purchased online or direct from a STIGA authorised retailer from
01st October 2023 will qualify for 5 years extended warranty subject to the
below terms and conditions
Exclusions
The Stiga Warranty will NOT cover
the following:
a)
ordinary wear and tear
b)
misuse / accidental damage
c)
failure to carry out the handling and operating instructions set out in the
Owner’s Instruction Manual
d)
lack of reasonable care
e)
the fitting of parts, replacements or extra components which are not supplied
or approved by Stiga
f)
contaminated/stale fuel
Product Registration
Your new purchase should be registered with STIGA
using the warranty card supplied with your machine or by creating an account in
‘MySTIGA’ and registering your new purchase online at www.stiga.com/uk/product-registration.
To validate your warranty in the event of a repair,
the original proof of purchase will need to be shown to the repairing dealer,
unless you have registered your product in ‘MySTIGA and uploaded your proof of
purchase. Without original proof of purchase, this policy will not apply.
Powered by Stiga Engines Warranty (2023 onwards)
Qualifying Stiga engines will carry a 2+1-year
conditional warranty from the date of purchase when used domestically. This
warranty is not transferable.
To maintain your warranty, your machine must be
serviced by a Stiga authorised service centre. Your local centre can be found
at www.stiga.com/uk or www.servicelink.org.uk.
Your product must be registered within 30 days of
purchase.
To maintain a 3-year warranty, the machine must be
serviced before the end of the 2nd year of ownership and annually thereafter.
Evidence of servicing will need to be produced when making a claim. Failure to
keep the machine serviced at these intervals will result in the warranty
reverting to a standard 2-year period.
Servicing / Stiga 3 or 5 Year Warranty
Qualifying Stiga products will carry a 3-year or
5-year conditional warranty from the date of purchase when used
domestically. This warranty is not transferrable.
To maintain your warranty, your machine must be
serviced by a Stiga authorised service dealer. Your local dealer can be found
at www.stigalawnmowers.co.uk or www.servicelink.org.uk
To maintain a 3 or 5 year warranty the machine must
be serviced before the end of the 2nd year of ownership and annually thereafter. Evidence of servicing
will need to be produced when making a claim. Failure to keep the machine
serviced at these intervals will result in the warranty reverting to a standard
2 year period.
For qualifying cordless products, a diagnostic
report will be carried out at the annual service, which must include the
tool/lawnmower, battery and charger.
Please be aware that when using your machine in
certain conditions it will require additional servicing or maintenance as
recommended in your user manual.
These conditions include, but are not limited to;
Spare Parts
Please note that spare part purchases are excluded
from this warranty policy.
STIGA Ltd. may use its discretion, in exceptional circumstances to replace a
part that is deemed faulty, subsequent to fitting by an authorised service
dealer.
Disclaimer
The warranty is only applicable for defects of
Stiga Products.
No person is authorised to make any warranties,
representations or promises, expressed or implied, on behalf of Stiga Ltd., or
to modify the terms, conditions or limitations of this warranty policy in any
way.
Stiga Ltd. will under no circumstances whatsoever
be liable for any special incidental or consequential damages, including, but
not limited to, personal injury, property damage, damage to or loss of
equipment, lost profits or revenue, costs of renting replacements and other
additional expenses.
Except as stated above Stiga Ltd., makes no
guarantee expressed or implied regarding product quality, performance,
accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, or otherwise.
Stiga Ltd.’s obligations under this warranty are to
repair or replace any faulty products meeting the above terms. The decision
between repair or replacement will be entirely at Stiga Ltd.’s discretion.
The Stiga Warranty is provided in addition to your
statutory rights.
Click and Collect
How does Click and Collect work?
We offer Click and Collect for most of our products.
Our Click & Collect service is offered for most of our products. For in-stock items, you can collect usually within 2 hours from Kelbrook or Kendal. If you would like to collect from any of our other 8 Depots; Skipton, Ilkley, Ripon, Northallerton, Morecambe, Lancaster, Windermere or Carnforth, we offer Click and Collect within 48 hours during our opening hours : 7:30am to 5:pm Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 12noon Saturday.
For items which show ‘out of stock’ – items will be available for collection from any of our Depots within 5-8 days
The Depot will always confirm once the item has arrived in stock so you can arrange collection.
Is Click and Collect available at all locations?
We offer click and collect from all 10 Depots; Kelbrook, Kendal, Skipton, Ilkley, Ripon, Northallerton, Morecambe, Lancaster, Windermere or Carnforth.
What do I need to bring to collect my order?
When it comes to collecting your order, you must provide one form of ID plus site of your order confirmation.
Can someone else collect my Click and Collect order on my behalf?
A nominated person can collect on your behalf. However, they must have a copy of your order confirmation, together with an email from your email address stating who will be collecting on your behalf.
How long do I have to collect my order?
We want to be able to be as flexible as possible without causing disappointment for any of our customers; we give 7 days to collect your products from us.
What happens if I can’t collect my order on time?
As stated, we will hold your order for 7 days, if you have not collected by then, we will contact you by your preferred method. However, if you are experiencing any issues with your collection dates, please contact the Depot where you booked your click and collect.
Delivery
What delivery options are available?
We can offer local delivery within 20 miles from your local Depot, however there will be a delivery charge; please contact your local Depot for further details.
Due to our current structure of the business, we are unable to offer a delivery service nationwide.
Repairs and Service
Do you offer repair and service of machines?
For products purchased directly from us that are within the warranty period, please contact the Depot you purchased from.
We offer a full repair and service on all major brands of garden and construction equipment.
How do I book a repair or service?
When booking your repair or service with our team, we believe in making the process as convenient as possible; either complete the contact form on the website or call your local Depot, who will be happy to help.

How long does a typical repair or service take?
Timings on repairs and services can
vary due to the time of year and parts availability, please contact your local
Depot who will give you an estimated timescale.
Will I receive a quote before my repair or service is carried out?
We offer fixed priced servicing on
certain garden machinery, please see our website for more details.
For all other repairs and services, we
can quote for all repairs or services, please speak with your local Depot prior
to or at the point of dropping the machine off and one of the team will be able
to discuss this with you.
Is there a warranty on repairs and services?
We offer a 12-month warranty on any of
the parts that are fitted during repairs and services
Returns
What is your returns policy?
We must be contacted within 14 days of you receiving your item to notify us that you wish to return your unused product. You then have 14 days to return the item to us.
How do I return an item?
Returns must be made to the Depot where you collected from.
Can I return items purchased to another depot?
Yes, we can accept returns at any of our other Depots, as long as you have notified us within the time period as
stated above.
Are there items that cannot be returned?
All items can be returned, providing that they are unused.
